Tamie
Meet Tamsanqa Hewu, or affectionately known as Tammie.
He is a dedicated father and is passionate about farming alongside the Noorsveld Chickens family! He loves being able to be a positive change in the local community.
Tammie is the latest farmer to join the Noorsveld Chickens family! Gerrit assisted in the designing and building of the housing for the chicks. Tammie employs a supervisor who trained under Gerrit. He currently lives on-site to make sure the operation runs smoothly.

As Jansenville is extremely hot over the summer season and at various times during the year, Tammie makes use of a water misting system.
He chuckles as he fondly describes how the chicks enjoy running through it to cool down. His current coup can comfortably house 4000 chicks.
As for hobbies, Tammie loves watching cricket and soccer and chuckles as he remembers how he used to do marathons when he was fitter.
These days he enjoys walking and is passionate about motivating people. He says our nation needs motivated citizens. “We need to work hard to build a better country for all!”
