We’re a collective of passionate chicken farmers and family-run businesses based in Noorsveld – the heart of the Karoo in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. At Noorsveld Chicken, we pride ourselves on our certified free-range chickens. They grow up freely as we provide an external range, giving the birds the opportunity to express their natural behaviour such as foraging, sunbathing and dust bathing. We ensure their feed is not genetically modified and does not include antibiotics or growth hormones. The result is a delicious, finely hand-finished product that is better for you and your family.
Our Story
Meet the founder and visionary behind Noorveld Chicken, Gerrit Dos Santos! He is passionate about people and his birds.
Often busy from early morning to late in the evening, he serves all eleven of the Noorsveld farmers, making sure the operation runs smoothly.
